a bunch of videos

Here are some videos. I've had some for a while, and one I just took today. These are for the truly dedicated Andrew fans. Don't bother watching if your not 100% in. They are BORING! I think they are riveting but I'm trying to be realistic as far as what other people will think of them.

This one is LOUD, so turn your speakers down. He is really really close to the microphone and squealing. It's really funny, but really loud. This was taken on my still shot camera so the quality of the sound is cruddy. It sounds really digitalized so don't be too snobby about our videography and you should still think it's pretty cute.

This one is our jumping baby. He's not in his pumpkin suit, but he's still pretty awesome.

This one is Andrew and his sippy cup full of water. The doctor said we can start giving him water in between meals if we want to. Here's one of our first tries. I think it's funny that all our pictures of him used to be with just a diaper, and now he's bundled like crazy. I feel like we live in Misawa again and it snows all the time. Except that it doesn't, and it's just cold because we're too poor to pay for heat above 65 degrees!!

This one is from today. It shows him playing with his infantimo buckets (I LOVE THEM). It also shows him getting up on his hands and knees a couple times. He's SO about to crawl any day now. It's two minutes of Andrew wonderfulness. Or it's two minutes of "why the heck is she still recording"ness. Your call. Oh and by the way, we call this form of motion "Hurricane Andrew". If he's not close enough to grab soemthing he'll corkscrew himself until he can. Very funny.

These are the buckets given to us by the Parks. The first time I saw these I thought they were cute, but probably wouldn't be real special. But I love them. The mouse's ear squeeks, the cat has a bell in it. All the little treats for the buckets have crinkely stuff in them. I love love love them. They are colorful and fun, and Andrew stays entertained for a long time.

Random pictures

Andrew has gotten pretty mobile. He's not crawling yet, but he scoots backwards. We put him in the middle of the livingroom floor and he backed himself under the table and then got upset about it. Very funny.

Rusty's making Andrew into a soccer star already. He tosses this ball at his feet over and over and over again. This is a picture that I LOVE!! Rusty took this picture while he was playing with our boy while I was at work.

Tracy was wearing a shirt from high school at our 80's party! He also had a mullet wig that I wish I had a picture of. I thought it was cute that Andrew and Tracy were just staring at each other.

this was our haloween getup. Rusty and I were at an 80's class reunion murder mystery party. Our characters were rock and roll stars! My character was treated terribly by all her classmates and came to the reunion to rub her success in their face. It was very very fun. Andrew was obviously an 80's pumpkin.

So I keep chuckling to myself about something and I thought I'd share. I don't know if you guys all know but I've gone back to working a couple shifts at Chili's every week. It's been really hard to leave Andrew, but good in the long run because it keeps Rusty from having to work more than he already is. So my story is from Chili's and that's why I had to set the background.
I work with a guy named Sisay (See-say), he is from Gambia. He is black as night and HILARIOUS! He's a cook so we talk everytime I run back into the kitchen for anything He calls andrew our 4/20 baby because Rusty put up a sheet at work for everyone to guess what day Andrew was going to be born and Sisay guessed april 20th (which may give you an indication of Sisay's habits). Anyway he always asks about Andrew and has started calling me "Andrew's Mama" instead of by name. If you know African accents you can picture all of this a little better. I LOVE the way it sounds when he calls me Andrew's mama. It makes me smile, and I'm honored to have gone from "Angela's sister" to "Andrew's mama" not that being Angela's sister wasn't wonderful!

Jumping Pumpkins

Here's our jumping pumpkin. He is SO FUNNY in this thing. He's gotten a lot better about jumping on both feet. He used to just jump on one, so he'd go in circles. It is up in our laundry room door. we sit at the kitchen table for breakfast and he'll jump in the doorway. Whenever he would jump on one foot he'd laugh HYSTERICALLY when he'd come back around to facing us. Then he'd continue in his circle around towards the laundry room. Then he'd turn towards us and laugh and wiggle like he'd forgotten we were there. it was muy hilariouso.

I am sorry that all our pictures lately are taken in the high chair. It's just that stage of life for us right now. To be completely honest with you I used to HATE pictures of babies with food on them. I thought it was gross. Now I understand that some of the funniest moments happen durring the messiest times. The picture above is Andrew wearing a bib from his Aunt Angela. It was actually supposed to be Gavin's bib, and I am the aunt he loves! Angela was kind enough to give it to me after Gavin died. Now Andrew wears it because he LOVES his Aunt Angela. I think we need a cute nickname for Angela though because Aunt Angela is a mouthfull. I am Kika to my nephew because Jessica is too hard to say. Any suggestions for Ang?

This is a video of Andrew's first feeding of peas. He made this funny face every time I gave him a spoonful. Do you think he liked them?

baby cuteness

Andrew is just so dang cute. I can't stop taking pictures of him, but I still can't capture his cuteness. You just have to see him to believe it. So visitors are welcome!!

This is a video of his second go at the bananas. He's eaten some several times since this and he just LOVES it. It's so funny to hear him smacking and licking. He's losing less and less each time.

This is A in his baby straight jacket. He takes his naps and goes to bed swaddled. The hat is because Rusty doesn't believe in heat yet.

this is our bundled baby boy!

We don't have many nudies of him, and this was too cute to miss, Socks and a beanie after a serious blowout. The casualties were all his clothes but these.

I don't have any pictures for you today, and I apologize. However, I thought you'd like to know that we introduced Andrew to Bananas today!! He LOVED them. It was hilarious, he would whine until we gave him another bite. Rusty is funny when he feeds him too, he doesn't let it drip down his chin at all. He plays some serious defense. Who knew a 6 month old could stay so clean while eating. I'm sorry I didn't get any pictures or video, I'll try to get some this week.

Sunny Carolina

When Rusty got out of class today, we had the PERFECT weather to sit outside and play for a while. Rusty thought he was going to get to study, but with a wife and kid this cute... he didn't stand a chance!! Here are a bunch of pictures documenting our good time. Thanks for the cute giraffe on the butt outfit, Grandma!

He wants to grab the camera from me. It makes a beep when I push the button to focus it, and he wants it in his mouth NOW.

This is that silly, I'm serious and sucking on my lips, face I showed you earlier. what a goofy face. This is my favorite picture of the day though.

He's in the middle of a sentance...

Cute giraffe butt.

Studying Hebrew with Daddy.

Just being cute.

I just missed a BIG smile.

Lunging for the camera, close-up

The whole family

So we finally gave Andrew his first bits of solid foods!! We soft boiled an egg, and gave him the egg yolk. He seemed to be confused by the whole situation. At first he was opening up his mouth and leaning towards the spoon, and then he just really couldn't have cared less one way or the other. I'm pretty sure most of it ended up on his face, and on his bib. But it was an exciting afternoon none the less. The funniest part of it was that he STINKS now!! Everyone said that once you start solid foods his gas smells, and his poop smells, and they were right. He's a tooty little boy anyway, but now it's not just embarrassing because of the sound, but because of the STENCH. So now I have two funky smelling males in my home. Good times!! Here is a picture and a video of my little stinker.

This is just a picture and a video of him being cute. He's got rolling over down solidly, so now it's time to crawl or scoot. Whenever he gets on his belly he gets all wound up and starts flailing. I caught a bit of it on the video, but he always calms down once I get the camera out.

my big boy

Rusty let me sleep in one morning this last week to recover from a headache, and when I woke up and came into the kitchen this is what I saw!!

Isn't he the cutest in his new highchiar (we have yet to actually give him food)

This is his serious face. He does this ALL the time. He sucks that bottom lip in and goes to town on it while he hunts for his toes, or plays with Mortimer the Moose. I love this face, it's so funny.

Here's our sweetie in his new highchair. We haven't actually started the solid food yet, but it is so nice to be able to have him at the table with us while we have dinner. He just likes to be close. I think we'll start the solid food in the next couple weeks, so there will be some messy face video and pictures soon.

Thanks for the highchair Grandma Snyder!!

I was going through all our pictures the other day and noticed that there are a handful of them that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE. I know they've all already been posted at some point or another, but I just had to put them up again.

Out for Coffee

Rusty played hookie from classes on Tuesday and we took a walk to a nearby coffee shop. Andrew looked SO FLIPPIN' CUTE in an outfit my mom had bought him. I was sporting my new DARK hair. And Rusty was just his usual handsome self. So here's the whole family!

We just kiss and kiss and kiss our boy. He can't fight it yet, so we figure we ought to get our fill now.

Gorgeous Weather

The weather has just been PERFECT for the last week. It's been mid 70's all day long. Andrew and I had an afternoon out in the front yard and I took a bunch of pictures. He's just so cute I can't stand it.
